Overview
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, provides a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. At its heart are the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership. They recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go together with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests (UN, 2024). Kuwait like the other countries builds on a great history of achieving international development goals and keeping sustainability at the core of its policies and strategies. According to SDGs reports, Kuwait in previous years had achieved most of the era development goals and targets relevant to poverty, hunger, education, health and water and sanitation among others.
The report showed that Kuwait government made an all-embracing decision of integrating all 17 SDGs and 169 targets within the State of Kuwait’s long-term vision, which had been approved to the adoption of Agenda 2030. And as provided in the 2023 UN VNR Handbook, Kuwait government organized a series of consultancies and a national sustainability with a range of stakeholders across the public and the private sectors and with academia and civil society partners.
Through the narrative analysis, pages, figures, and tables and through an in depth and thorough assessment of the 2023 Review goals and targets. This report has highlighted and provided commitments to an all-inclusive, and the main achievement of the SDGs towards Agenda 2030.
